Building the crowdfunding and alternative finance in Europe
15.00 -17.00, 31 March
Liability Risks in Cross Border Crowdfunding
In 2015 CrowdfundingHub teamed up with several European law firms and conducted a pan-European research to identify the liability risk in respect to the various forms of cross-border crowdfunding. As part of the launch of CrowdfundingHub the results of the research will be presented and discussed with the representatives of the participating law firms and regulators.
The Current State of Crowdfunding in Europe
In the second half of the launch session of CrowdfundingHub a variety of national crowdfunding experts, platform owners, regulators and representatives of crowdfunding associations line up to give their view on ‘The Current State of Crowdfunding in Europe’. Furthermore, we will present the result of our recently conducted research about the current state of crowdfunding.
Other sessions organised by CrowdfundingHub from 31 Mar – 1 Apr, The Hague
- Fostering pan-European and
cross-border investment in Europe
13.15 – 14.15 (31 March)
One of the objectives of the Capital Market Union is to enable cross-border investment. This session provides an expert view on progress in the alignment of member state regulations. A panel consisting of regulators, lawyers, business angels and other stakeholders discusses issues like liabilities in cross-border investments.
- Introduction to Alternative Finace
10.00 -11.00 (1 April)
The European alternative finance industry raised 7 billion euro in 2015 and the industry is a major contributor to companies looking for (growth) financing. This session will kick off with Ronald Kleverlaan giving an overview of the wide spectrum of new forms of alternative finance. The kick off is followed by an in-depth contribution from alternative finance experts from Europe during a panel discussion.
- Masterclass Crowdfunding
11.00 – 13.00 (1 April)
This masterclass provides an in-depth overview of the needed insights for crowdfunding strategies. Highly recommended to accelerators and incubators who want crowdfunding to be a part in their strategy to connect entrepreneurs and investors. (The Masterclass combines well with the separate session “Direct vs Indirect funding of start-ups and scale-ups in the EU” that takes place at 10.00, organized by the Dutch Incubation Association)
